The medium Sasha bowl has a longer, oval-like footprint with easy-to-grip handles at the sides. White melamine keeps the curving form neutral around salads, pasta or fruit, with a 4.5-inch height suited to a shared serving. Its sculptural handles give the practical movement from kitchen to table a distinct part in the design.

“A bowl with good handles can make serving feel much less awkward to me. The important thing is to leave space around them, so the piece can be lifted without disturbing the rest of a carefully set table.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership

Wash on the top rack of the dishwasher, or by hand with mild detergent and a soft sponge. Presoak dried food in warm water so it lifts without hard scrubbing; avoid abrasive pads and cleaners. Do not use in an oven or microwave. Dry before stacking, and place pieces gently together to protect the modeled rims.

Maker / Heritage

Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.

The Vida collection carries that attention to serving shapes into melamine, with sculptural rims and generous forms made for relaxed meals indoors and out.
