A flower-like surround gives the small Amelia frame its playful shape in cream enamel. Gold-tone edges outline the aluminum-alloy petals around the nominal four-inch photograph format. The 7.5-inch overall form makes a small picture into a decorative object for a desk, bedside or mantel, with the frame boxed for giving.
“I like a little picture frame that has a sense of affection without feeling precious. Amelia's petals can make an ordinary snapshot a thoughtful gift, especially when the photograph is chosen for the person receiving it.”
-Mrs. Mayfair

Care & Ownership
Remove the photograph and any detachable backing before cleaning the metal surround. Wipe gently with a soft cloth lightly dampened with water and mild detergent, then dry immediately. Keep the photograph and backing dry; do not immerse the assembled frame. Avoid abrasive cleaners and silver polish. Do not put in the dishwasher, oven or microwave.
Maker / Heritage
Cuban-born designer Beatriz Ball began working with metal artisans outside Mexico City in 1991. Her signature metalware is still made one piece at a time in the brand’s own foundry in Mexico: sand casting gives the forms their character, and successive hand-polishing stages bring out the alloy’s silvery luster. More than twelve pairs of hands take part in the making. The appeal is that combination of expressive shape and useful purpose, with the warmth of handwork and none of silver’s routine tarnish polishing.
In the frames, the same attention to a shaped edge gives a personal photograph a considered setting. The metal surround is decorative in its own right without needing to dominate the image.
